everybody it's time to raise a glass to our whitewashed, checkered past. and if it's happened once before, then it's happened a dozen times or more. 'cuz the only new thing in this world is the history we don't know. we filed a patent for a new space age polymer. 100% effective give or take there's a margin for error. we filed a copyright for our new space age polymer. a marvel of engineering from the new standard bearer. math helped figure it out- line by line our math helped figure it out, we all know that. we constantly tested our new space age polymer. to our surprise we learned that it performed like shit. we expertly marketed our new space age polymer. a glossy triple page spread will make it look legit. it's not, it falls apart- we all learned that math helped figure it out- imperfect, but... I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 10. arbitrary, but permanent. math helped figure it out, line by line our math helped figure it out, we all know that. our numbers are data, our data's raw. misappropriated, it's the last straw. i take my time going through the door. because you never know what's in there and it never is good. they say silence is golden, i'm inclined to agree because they never come cheap.

we're on a mission for someone else's vision, down a path of inconvenience we can ride a tandem bike. you can work the pedals and i will share the medals- easier to care if you don't have to steer. keep up the good work- someone else is gonna stand their ground on this. the street team is working- slacking off can be so glamourous. baton in hand and your laces undone. you can stop to take a breather so you're sure you won't trip. the timer's running, your partner's waiting. it doesn't matter if it's not your shit. show your work. now divide by one. if the figure's zero then it's getting done. let's raise awareness of all the major issues. if some people are aware then my conscience is free. an empty gesture, what could be better to serve the problems of society? keep up the good work, someone else is gonna stand their ground on this. the street team is working, slacking off can be so glamourous. be aware- make a ribbon, we're gonna make a difference. i don't care- it's superficial, we're gonna make a difference here.
3.
call the feds. call the SEC. make them see what was done to me. call accounts payable. is this mission-critical? we stand at our proudest, it's the losers that cry foul the loudest. stop with these accusations, i have a right to privacy. i'm not a common criminal, this is my business- it's my trade. you do not have the education to pass these judgements on my gains. i'm not a common criminal, this is my business- it's my trade.
4.
shut all the doors. there's nothing left to sell. i'd say i am responsible, but it never turns out well. around here you're in good company. i've come to rely on immaturity. could this be the turn of a new leaf? don't hold your breath- stay a liability. still we had some beers. too many to tell. i've stopped thinking i was invincible, it never turned out well. around here you're in good company. i've come to rely on immaturity. could this be the turn of a new leaf? don't hold your breath- stay a liability. cut all the ties and take your bow. in twenty years we'll play where are they now.

I rise, a phoenix force, shuffling across the golf course grass in my business slacks. My job, barrier reef, getting paid to sit on my ass for the whole damn week. Six years is a lot of mass to overcome when you're counting beers. My stress is a song; a legend sung to children of a tailgating man. His rage, so red hot, got him home from work in twenty minutes flat. Go on, take your shot. Try to swing around me while I pop my top. One thing, hit or miss, a paralegal's stress is carried in his fists. The only things that change are those we can't deny. I'll take the fight to physics because science ruins lives. Out of the future and into the past. The bubble jacket was too good to last. I remember the better times. I'm only guilty of petty crimes. I'm the sultan of cutting lines.
6.
so much promise and no follow through. always stop and think when you should just do. there was a time when that was a virtue. tell me all my friends, how did we get left out in the margins by the younger set? the brightness of their dreams lights up my regrets. will it stop us? no, not yet. tell me all you girls, how did you get 95 pounds when you're soaking wet? pick up some pizza, put down the cigarette. the best self is the one we choose- buying cupcakes or paying dues. in the bleachers, it's difficult to lose. you're a winner kid- do be afraid to cruise. need a sweater? have another. down here we take care of each other. up there? run to your mother- discount leather doesn't make you a lover. trust fall with your brother; a therapist will help you recover. help wanted: need a jack of all trades. how many workers do you think you can replace? end of an era, say goodbye to the specialists. i wish them well, i hope they all make the best of it. above and beyond is the new norm. we can weather any economic storm. everybody needs to learn how to multitask- you get more done if it's all done half-assed. the formula for being a winner: respond to messages while eating your dinner. everybody needs to learn how to multitask- you get more done if it's all done half-assed. i'm only a jerk because you care. flip your desk, throw your hands in the air.

shave your face, like you mow the lawn. some things are never done. seems like we're always starting over. like skinny jeans on sausages. live life with no regrets, until the sun sets. i'm such a jerk when i stop and think things over. like these skinny jeans on sausages. i will never forget even the smallest debt. no line of etiquette will affect my wallet. i'm there if you want to share- just don't ask me to be fair. my spreadsheet memory protects what belongs to me. protect me from protection. i need a radar detector. those cops won't be bested, they built a radar detector detector.

privileged means, noble dreams- you make the left look bad. no one needs your take on mankind. it takes three- you and me and your autocracy. so shiny, but mostly empty. same problems we face every day. some solutions are put in place. same statistics of the failure rates. insanity by another name. respectable chicken man makes a living with his hands. work and sleep, no chance to unwind. his beliefs are only steeped with friends of his kind. constantly affirming their lives. it takes three- you and me and my incredulity. actively ignoring our sides. same problems we face every day. some solutions are put in place. same statistics of the failure rates. insanity by another name.
9.
three cheers is the password to survive a natural disaster. they placed a bet to cover costs and walked away from catastrophic loss. three cheers for the cowards, they did their best now the problem's ours. a quest for peace in a sea of cops. holding hands at the local co-ops. animal, vegetable, mineral. what's your trail name? three cheers for the masses for taking back those platinum passes. we never asked how much it was- a real man can pay inflated costs. three cheers for our friends to the rescue, they'll dig us out with their silver spoons. your time ain't worth a dime and your time's more important than mine.
10.
look at the worms, out on the lawn. waiting for rain to get their sex hex on. strike up a match, pass the baton. the fire is lit for some lines to be drawn. look at the birds our on the quad. pecking and poking each square foot of sod. pull up the worms, tear them apart. like dinosaurs, they're not that smart. i am not, admittedly, the best person to be questioning history. it's a habit, automatic. i have not been listening, a self study draws a page of complacency. it's a habit, automatic. i have read about self help. i think that i can help myself. it's a habit, automatic. cold blooded, charismatic. reptilian, democratic. said you want it, then you got it. now you can't run away from it fast enough. it's a habit, automatic. just in time to turn the cameras off.
